My name is Indya.. but everyone knows me as ICY!!
This is me:
I'm from Washington D.C., I'm an Aries and I love love love PIZZA!!!
*laughs*
But that isn't why people know my name...
People know me for a couple different reasons:
I am a fashion stylist, photographer, graphic designer, blogger, store owner... well I guess you can say I don't like to limit myself.
People ask me how to get into the field and honestly... there is no one answer. Here's a little of what happened to me:
I was at college and got reunited with my brother from another mother, IMANI WADDY.
That's this guy:
He's the CEO of Gas'd. He ask me to join the team as an intern/fashion consultant. His line is hot. Here's a sample:
It was a big and inspiring learning experience. I helped with promoting and spreading word of his line on Myspace.. In the process of being part of such an amazing line, I started developing a fan base of my own. It was weird.. In one day I had about 100 friend request and 100 messages. All ranging from messages asking: "Where do you shop?" or "Your page is hot. Can you teach me how to use photoshop?"
I was so excited and but a bit overwhelmed. I loved networking and meeting new people, but it was hard trying to correspond with so many people individually. So I created my first site! Icy's Fashion Blog.. now known as FABU by Icy.
I updated on the blog all the time and interviewed a bunch of cool people in the fashion industry, like these:

The site started getting great feedback and a bunch of hits a day! It was cool. Soon photographers started inviting me to style their shoots or attend different functions. But one of the main source of my fans is because of a super awesome amazing designer from UK named KESH. That's this woman:
She hit me up on myspace and told me she liked my site!! She also put a link of my site on her page and after that my hit counter went THROUGH THE ROOF!! I'll forever be indebted to her for that♥
My life has been transformed and I make new friends and supporters each and every day!
I'm very fortunate enough now that I get to create art and work on projects everyday!
So that my friends brings me to now.. I'm in the process of forming my own company Icy Artistic Productions. It will offer event production, video production, photography, digital editing service.. etc.
And also the launch of my very own clothing line! It is in very humble beginnings at the moment. I'm starting off with accessories, but I hope for it to grow and expand as well as my blog did.
Art is my passion and I can't see myself doing anything else.
I'm quirky, strange and all about adventure.. I'm so grateful that people understand that and relate to me, and have such big advocates of what I do!!!!

At the end of the day, I'm just lil ole' Icy from Uptown DC. I have insecurities like everyone else, and moments of doubt.. but I always pursue my passions.
Just A PLAIN JANE that is against conformity and loves to express herself.
